As a Peer Leader for Camp Bearcats, I guided a group of first-year students through a weekend of team-building, reflection, and community connection before the academic year began. My role involved facilitating activities, leading discussions, and helping students feel welcomed and confident in their transition to college.

This experience helped me discover the kind of leader I want to be—empathetic, present, and inclusive. It was a foundational step in preparing me for future mentorship roles, including becoming a Resident Advisor. Camp Bearcats reminded me that real leadership is built on listening, trust, and the willingness to support others through moments of uncertainty.
