Innovation Challenge Spring 2024
Honors Experience (Pre-approved)
AmbuAlert is a GPS-based emergency navigation system I developed as part of an Innovation Challenge at the University of Cincinnati. The goal was to improve ambulance response times by providing real-time, optimized routing to the nearest hospitals. I worked on everything from idea development to CAD modeling and testing the prototype with APIs.
This experience taught me how impactful innovation can be when it’s focused on solving real-world problems. I learned to prioritize user experience, adapt under pressure, and collaborate across technical and non-technical challenges. AmbuAlert pushed me to think like both an engineer and a problem-solver, and confirmed my passion for tech with a purpose.
AmbuAlert
I’ve chosen to showcase a short demo of the AmbuAlert prototype alongside early wireframes and the latest website. This sample illustrates how our team translated a raw idea into a functioning solution. It reflects not just my technical contributions, but also the user-centered design process we followed to create a system that’s intuitive and useful under pressure. These pieces represent the hands-on, multidisciplinary learning that made this experience so meaningful.
